Organic Clothing

That’s the question I often get, so I thought Id do more in-depth discussion about
organic clothing here. Allow me to remind you, this will not be a tree hugging-common
viewpoint.
When I grew up in Europe, get the apple meant walking to the backyard and … You
guess: choose one directly from the tree – yes I grew up in rural areas for some
years as a child. Since then the food market, a modern distribution and mass production
take over. And with this comes a great use of pesticides, herbicides and other
substances should be avoided.
When it comes to organic clothing, the position now is simple:
Only 4% of organic cotton, but their use is in italics rapid organic (grows 40 -
60% over the last few years). There are tons more organic T-shirts and other

clothing around the days of even just three years ago.
Organic means that the cotton has been grown without using chemicals. This
certainly much better for farmers and significantly better for the environment-you
probably knew that already.
Very few clothing brands to choose to become environmentally friendly to the core – as
facts that are not easy to do. And a lot more expensive.
But some brands have chosen to work with only certified organic cotton. The
results for farmers far less than when conventional agriculture, so the purchase price
more than 50% above what the cost of conventional high-quality cotton, and more than four
times what the cost of low-cost short-fiber cotton.

However, the advantage is huge.
Better conditions for farmers. While possible to cotton source for organic clothing
much less expensive quality does not stand up, and I believe in paying a reasonable price
important.
It’s better for the earth. While cotton at each level using a lot of water, removal
herbicides pesticides etc are one of the main arguments for moving to organic clothing.
Every time you buy organic clothing you should always look into the certification
producer. However, be aware of consumer doesn’t stop there.
Its better for you. My initial tests with a manufacturer in India showed that many organic
cotton is not suitable for human body, rough as a sack of potatoes on the skin. It took
seven-month trial in the two countries to make organic fabric T-shirts
a lightweight, super yummy soft to the touch and does not involve chemical additives
treatment in processing.
So, every time you go shopping (online or off), make sure you find people who feel a T-shirt
really yum to touch when you’re looking for organic clothing.
For a greener planet!
